Containers for “Export” are handled at most in ports in Turkey.

Containers handled for “export” (TEU) at ports in Turkey have a share of 39.72% in the total TEU handled. This share was 51.19% in 2004.

Containers handled for “import” (TEU) at ports in Turkey have a share of 38.54% in the total TEU handled. This share was 47.42% in 2004.

In the 2004-2020 period, the share of containers handled for %22export%22 and %22import%22 decreased, while the share of containers handled for %22Transit%22 and %22Cabotage%22 increased.
