According to the “Operational Cost of Trucking” report prepared by ATRI;
- In 2018, trucks in America made 16.6% “empty kilometers”, while in 2019 the “empty mileage” rate was 20.1%. This increase can significantly increase the operating costs of companies. Especially digital freight platforms can offer solutions that can reduce this “empty mileage”.
- In 2016 -2019, the proportion of shipments less than 100 miles away in the United States increased from 21% to 26%, decreasing by 100 miles or more. Trucks operate at a shorter distance than in previous years.
