For Group H, the “Employment” and “Hours Worked” indices decreased, while the “Gross Wages” Index increased.

Year 2021 1. For the quarter (January-March), Turkey-wide “Employment” and “Hours Worked” indices increased, while “Employment” and “Working Hours” indices in Group H decreased.

Year 2021 1. For the quarter (January-March), the “Gross Wages-Salary” Index in Group H increased much less than the Turkey-wide “Gross Wages-Salary” index.

  • Turkey in General: Turkey in general (Industry, Construction, Trade, Service)
  • Employment: Within the scope of employment indices, wage earners are taken into account. Apprentices and interns and actual employers, partners and unpaid family workers are not included in the employment indexes.
  • Hours Worked: It is the time actually worked in the workplace, regardless of the normal working time, which is the subject of the basic wage and salary of the wage earners. While paid and unpaid overtime and overtime working periods are included in the hours worked, the hours not worked, such as annual leave and public holidays, are excluded from the hours worked.
  • Gross Wage Salary: Includes gross basic wage and salary payments to wage-earners, regular earnings in the form of wages (monthly bonuses, premiums, etc.), overtime payments and irregular earnings (non-monthly bonuses, premiums, etc.).
