Turnover Share Of The Field Of Logistics

Turnover share of the field of logistics is declining in Turkey.

From 2010 to 2019 the turnover share of sub-segments of Group H serving for Logistics excluding passenger & public declined %1.5, accomodating to %49,83 of total Group H turnover.

From 2010 to 2019 the turnover share of sub-segments of Group H serving for Logistics excluding passenger & public increased %4.5, accomodating to %3.01 of the total turnover of all enterprises in Turkey.

These increases are not satisfactory for a ten years period. Especially considering the turnover shares of all enterprises, the share of enterprises for Logistics excluding passenger & public did not increase. For example, there is a decline observed at main operations such as “Land transportation” and “Warehousing”.

This may have different reasons; maybe logistics services does not improve as advertised or logistics companies might prefer to handle their operations themselves instead of getting logistics services, there might be price competition between logistics service providers bringing the turnover down.

  •  52.22- Service activities incidental to water transportation:  Only 52.22.06-Administration of ports and sea lines concerning sea line transportation (administration of ports, piers, dockyards, waterways, sea terminals etc.) (excluding the administration of lighthouses etc.) is related to “Logistics excluding passenger & public” But the exact number of it is unknown.
  •  52.23- Service activities incidental to air transportation: Only 52.23.03-Airports ground services operations (excluding Cargo and baggage loading services) is related to “Logistics excluding passenger & public” But the exact number of it is unknown.
  •  Number of enterprises: It is the number of all companies operating in sectors and active during the reference period.
